“It wasn't until I accepted myself just as I was in this moment, that I was free to change.” - Carl Rogers

Why people seek counselling?
Its normal to have times when we feel low, sad, lost, anxious and stressed in response to normal life events. The time to consider therapy is when negative feelings and emotions begin to have an impact on your everyday life at work or home. Maybe feelings of anxiety and low mood may have become entrenched and you want to change this.
How can it help?
Counselling can help you get to the root cause of why you are feeling the way you do and help you find coping strategies.
It can help you manage when you are facing a difficult decision, in a rut or going round in circles.
It can help identify repeating patterns of behaviour that may no longer be in your best interests.
What happens in counselling?
At the first session I will gather facts about you; why you are coming, what you are hoping to get out of sessions, a short history about you and your contact details.
In sessions I aim to raise your self awareness so you can gain a better understanding of yourself and your situation. By gaining awareness you have the power to make changes. This may lead to positive choices whereby you can live your life more positively. I work online offering all the benefits of remote collaboration.
